Heaven Is Nursing A Broken Heart

I am putting all my SuperDog projects on hold.
Between stolen naps
and watching over my father Sumo . . .
I have no energy left . . .
So please understand . . .
I can not do some of your posters and cards
but I am sending some pictures by eMail.

Lookit:
Keeper is exhausted as well!
She comes home right away and in tears
and runs to check on Popsy Sumo right away!
Keeper has cancelled all events
so she can keep an eye on Popsy!

My Popsy is OK
but he moves slow
and he eats little
and when he sleeps
he gets easily startled.

My superjob now is to keep watch over my Popsy.
When he does not finish his meal, I do it for him.
When Keeper is done cleaning his fur
I wait for my furs to be cleaned as well.
When Keeper gives him a hug
I wait for my hugs as well.

There is nothing
that goes on in my Popsy's life
that I am not part of.

And now I take a wee break
to join Ashley's SHS.
It is one of my favorite weekly do:

A DAY IN MY LIFE
I am always in Sweepy's life. woof!

BLACK AND WHITE
I am also in Sumo's life.
There is no point in doing Sumo's photo in B&W
because he is black and white
any way you put it
but if you insist:

When the sun sets on Sumo's black furs
the sun's rays look like tattoos!
Keeper said the sun is setting on Sumo
whatever that means.
Now I wonder why Keeper is crying?

Woof! King Kong is Fat Choi!
De Sweepy's 12 drooly toys!

Hey, its Kong Hei Fat Choi!
It means have a prosperous something.
It is the Chinese Lunar New Year!
Now contrary to what the Chinese believe
my toys signify the twelve animals
represented in the Chinese calendar
and they all went to tell me their story!

OCCUPY SWEEPY!
Well, they drooly barked, woofed, oinked and protested
that some of them were not included in the Chinese calendar!
So now I am officially gathering the animal signs
so the people would know their drooly fate
based on animals like me!

Bear (fat and lazy)
Giraffe (tall and goofy)
Horse (handsome and stubborn)
Elephant (huge and slow)
Deer (fast and noisy)
Kangaroo (jumpy and silly)
Lion (loud and bratty)
Hippo (heavy and useless)
Monkey (shifty and smarty)
Camel (slow but sure)
Zebra (stripey and dizzy)
Rhino (big and clueless)

As you see, there is no Dog.
I myself was born in the Year of the Horse.
That makes me a Horse Dog.
Obviously, my father Sumo is a Lion.
Keeper said Sumo is a Rabbit but hello!

Show me a rabbit that looks woofy like my father!!

Now Keeper has no sign
because she is signless.
Some hoomans are like that.
They display all of the characteristics of the sign
which makes them pfffft NADA!

Now where was I?

FOUR
Now these are the things I need to counter
whatever it is that brings bad luck to this year!
Anything RED and Round.
Multi-purpose stuff like a brush
that combs and massages!
Something old, something new and blue:
my old toothbrush which I hardly use
which makes it NEW!

Keeper said the best luck charm for this year is:
Rooster.
And TheOtherKeeper Luchie is one.
Woof! I never knew Luchie is a chicken?
But y'see, a Rooster is never on my list!
And since I eat chicken I am woofy lucky!

Keeper said it is the Year of the Dragon
. . . and the only way to beat anything
breathing down your neck
is to bark fire at that thing
and tell him that he is never in your list!
Therefore, this is not his year
or anytime or anyplace!

As for all the wannabes in my life . . .
. . . art imitates life.
Now when life imitates art
you get anything and everything drooly off.

I wish you prosperity of mind
happiness in pursuit of your desires

The Black Week

WooF!

January 15 is the bday
of my FATher, Popsy Sumo
and my late brother Bogart.

And as much as I want attention
to focus on Myself
I am sharing this week
with my BLACK family . . .

If Bogart is alive today
he would turn 11yo and
he will be searching for flowers . . .
. . . like he drooly does and posting at TodaysFlowers.

So to celebrate Bogart's love for flowers
I am searching one for him:
This Hoya flower came from the same Hoya on Bogart's right!
And when I look for flowers
somebody is bound to follow me:
Popsy who is not into flowers.
Popsy gets irritated with their singing
but he has no choice but be where I am!

And now I go to Ashley for her:

Winter Wonderland
Well we don't really have winter
but we have a woofy editing dog (er hullo, me?)
and if Ashley wants winter, autumn
and whatever drooly weather
I can drooly make one!

Frozen
And this is what happens when it rains.
I waited for the water to freeze
to make my background for winter
but it does not drooly happen.

But this is another Frozen, Ashley:
Keeper calls it frozen delights
which she eats temptingly in front of me
because she knew I can't have chocolates and nuts!
But I can drooly have this:

when people around me
gets too loud and noisy.
And when I do that
somebody is bound to follow me:

where visitors drool over them in delight
because they never woofy get cards anytime!

Now this reminds me
that I received more holiday cards this week!

and the Happy Hounds!!!

I lost count of all the cards and greetings I got!

Hullo 2012!
The firecrackers are almost gone.
I think my ears had gone numb
from firecrackers last month!

But Popsy said not to relax
because next week
is Chinese new year!
And fireworks is always part of it!

Have you seen the fireworks here last year
which Popsy featured in his blog?

Oh why can't people celebrate without all those noise?

Look, my tongue is all dry as well!

Dry from barking at kids playing with firecrackers
and from drooling in stress.

But Keeper said 2012 is a good year
and I should be happy!

And when I think happy
I drooly go to Ashley's

LAUNDRY

That's Keeper's laundry. And my job is to inform the laundrywoman not to put any bleach, softener or beat her clothes to death. Did you drooly hear that, Flor?

SOFT

That's my elbow. It may have rough spots but its soft.
Keeper rubs her face on my soft fur always!

ONE COLOR

And this is my tum-tum.
My furs go in all directions
but its basically one color:
Dirty gold. Aroooo!

EMPTY

I always eat every morsels of food on my bowl!
I eat heartily so I get fed well.

ONE DOZEN

These are my toys.
Keeper love them as well.
But they can be pesky . . .
. . . especially when I sleep!

But Keeper said I should be happy that I have toys.
Other dogs don't even have food!
And we have to feed them as well!

Life is happy when you look on the bright side.

Life is happy when you have your family and friends around.

And surely . . .
. . . life is happier when you drooly let go,
take a drooly nap
and think only of happy thoughts!

I've been good, nice, busy and wise.

My father will turn a woofy 12 on January 15!
That means 84 in hooman age.
And in March I will turn 10yo or 70 in human age.
Yesh, we are senior dogs in heaven!
And we love it!

A DAY IN MY LIFE

This weekend a young couple came
wandering around our house Heaven
looking for a home to give birth to their child
and we let them in and in turn
They let us into Their hearts!

I WAS INSPIRED

And this is what Christmas means to us.
The birth of Christ in our lives
and the joy of sharing and living in joy
and opening our doors and our hearts
to the homeless, the hungry,
the fearful and lonely!

ALL SMILES
. . . and this is what we get in return!
It does not take much to make others happy
and share our joys with each other . . .

We do not have winter
but this snowy white stray cat
whom Keeper call Petrocelli
and fed regularly on the roof
attacked us this weekend
and bit Popsy Sumo's ears!
Keeper was distraught.
It felt like winter . . . cold and scary . . .

And that's TheOtherKeeper Luchie
who applied the magic ointment on Popsy's ears
which made the wounds heal fast!
Luchie can do some tricks that Keeper can't do
like apply medicines, clean ears and give spa treats to us!

HOME
Heaven is the name of our house.
So that means I live in Heaven!

MY FAVORITE!
My Keeper.
She keeps house for us
feeds us, gives us bath, nags us,
hugs us and gives excellent massages.
When I call she runs immediately!

Keeper may run the show in Heaven
but I RULE!

that I am turning 10 soon!

A Drooly Sad Time . . .

I am not going to wear my Santa hat this week

in respect to the sad events
that affected some furry friends
and the devastation in my island . . .

My furry friends the Pittie Pack from the USA
lost their home in a fire
and with it some of their dogs.
Keeper was distraught
since her friend lost their dogs in Alabang
also in a fire just this summer. . . .

And this weekend a storm hit the southern part of my island
and killed people and animals in a flash flood!
Our country has always been hit by storms
but lately, the damage has been severe
and Keeper kept praying for us. . .
Keeper said that we must always be prepared
because our planet is old and sick . . .

And Keeper read the sad news to me
of the sad rescue of pitbulls in Cavite
that were used for dogfighting by foreigners.

When I hear sad news like these
I run to Keeper in alarm!

. . . and I am comforted.

Tragedies happen for a reason
and we must always hang on to each other
so we can understand why things happen
and know that there is somebody
always willing to help and comfort us . . .

And Keeper will again tell me stories of survival,
of people and animals hanging on
even in the most trying of times . . .

If you know anybody in pain
or sick, or lonely, or afraid
please offer your hand
and give comfort NOW!

And this, Lisa, is my gift to the senior citizens party this week.
I am sure I am the only dog who contributed a gift for them!

And this is the real meaning of Christmas for us.
To prepare a home for a homeless King!
. . . so we can celebrate the birthday of Christ the King

and some humans as extras ;-)

FLY
This is from Keeper's mask project.
When the bell or telephone rings
the mad Keeper flies
together with the doodads
on her creatives.
Duh.

However, when the thingy flies to your nose-y
you hold your breath
and try hard not to bite it
and look on the bright side.
A good dog does not jump and bite
at anything that Keeper is working on.
Well, I did say try.
Most times I fail.

ALWAYS LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
Yeah. I do too, Ashley.
The bright one is actually the dark one.
My Popsy is black, bright, and wise.
When things go woofy blah
I run to my father.
A good dog loves his family.

1. For Chantrice who wants to know what to do with pesky fleas:
SuperdogAdvice: Mix one part water and one part vinegar
and spray on yer doggy and whatnot. It also makes their furs shiny.
Oh forget the woofy smell, C!
Obviously, fleas hate smelly dogs so the vinegar works.
Caution: do not spray on dogs with wounds.

My favorite is blue-green but it does not look good on me.

Yep, I'm back.
And yup I am Black.

I love wearing my black tees.
It makes me look like my Popsy.

And I love to sit beside TheOtherKeeper Luchie
and make her think I am Popsy Sumo!
Y'see my father gets a hug from Luchie all the time.
Me I only get a laugh.
What's with these people anyway.

Methinks those with golden furs have blah
while those in black furs have all the fun!
I should have my furs dyed black.

This week I worked with Keeper
doing all sorts of stuff.
We are super busy.
Well we were.
Sorta.

We made recycled art boxes . . .
which makes perfect cover for napping.
Well, I prefer sleeping in the dark, y'know.
I may be the only dog whose house have curtains!

I love to snuggle in the dim corner
hoping that somebody will cuddle inside.

Hullo.

I start this week with a question
from Samantha of Montessori.

Samantha wanted to know how I brush my teeth.
Well you're lucky, Samantha
because this week I had Teefies Attack.

And because of this
TheOtherKeeperLuchie has a new title:
DocChuchi, the fang caretaker.
Luchie said that my KeeperLui is not doing a good job
of keeping my beastly fangs, claws, and bushy tail in mint condition.
So Luchie decided to do my teeth,
my nails, my whatever!

"So up you go on the table, Sweepy"
ordered Luchie.

Woof! I better check Luchie's tools and see if she got some treats to entice me the way Keeper does it. Nada.

"Now let me see those teeth, Sweepy!"
barked Luchie.

And before I can bark 'NO' Luchie grabbed my fangs and scrubbed like crazy! It was totally humiliating. . . But I must admit, it felt so woofy good afterwards that my fangs sparkled like stars!
This should make Samantha happy!

because my toothbrush is all BLUE
even if its not on a Monday, Sally!

If you noticed the broken legs were removed

It is so new I can't hardly see it in the sky.

Now Ashley wants Clouds.
The last time I looked there was none.
And the rains pelted down my nose
which made me sleepy.

My Popsy Sumo said the clouds looked strange.

So when Ashley wanted Stairs
I asked Popsy to find me one
while I go and snooze:

You can't trust an old Alpha dog to just search.
Alpha dogs are trained to search, destroy
and mark anything they find.
Now Popsy just made a stairy, starry night!

Well, this week I have a great find for you.
It is an inspiring story of rescue.
The rescue of the senior dog Roadie
and Roadie's rescue of his human.
Sometimes you will never know that what you rescued
was actually sent to rescue you in turn.

Well, I was sent to rescue you all.
From life's boredom and drooly weather.

and be on the lookout

OLD AND NEW
My Popsy is old and that makes me new.
That's the trick for staying young: stay close to those older than you! Ha!

NIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY
I really hate it when people sneak up on you when you're sleeping but y'see, Keeper sneaks up on me a lot and cuddle her silly frame even in the dead of night!

Keeper does it even in the middle of the day too!
Keeper said she can't control herself
whenever she sees me sleeping
so she snuggle herself in and hug me.

And look at Popsy:
Nobody can dare snuggle in and hug that beast except Keeper!
And when Popsy snores it is like MUSIC to ma ears.
Now maybe I should record Popsy's snoring someday

Nope, this is not made of cheese. It is made of soya. It is Keeper's favorite energy drink. The one holding it is 'cheesy' for making me witness all this and not share it. Hey, I drink soya too, y'know!

And this Sunday, inspite of the rainy and windy week brought by typhoon Mina, the sun came out and I'm out looking for my Popsy . . .

Now this scene makes Keeper go crazy.
She thinks Popsy might pounce on me
because my pop is kindda grumpy.
He hates it when you bump into him.

And last Friday was
National Dog Day!
I bet you have not heard of it.

Well, Colleen Paige, an author and animal behaviorist, has decided to dedicate a day to celebrate all types of dogs especially the homeless ones and make people aware of their plight. Well, this Superdog has been working round-the-clock too, Colleen, (well, except when I'm sleeping and playing with my Popsy) and I bark for every strays I see and hungry dogs (we even feed dogs owned by other people when these dogs bark in hunger!) and Keeper runs after abusive animal owners which always gets her into trouble!

These are the postcards we received by mail for our postcard swap with Kat. I designed our own cards and Keeper mailed twice because Kat did not receive the first set. Now I hope the kids in Estonia received the cards I made for their shirt design. Its on the mail, kiddo! Bark it out loud when you get it, k?

This week is all about celebrations.
My calendar was fully booked.
Yesterday was Ninoy Aquino's death anniversary.
Everybody was in yellow.
Well, my teeth are yellow. Ha!
My furs are golden yellow. Hahoot!

The last time I looked (3 years ago!) I was the only animal featured in the iamninoy project that featured blogs about heroic adventures inspired by Ninoy. Now I think I should do an iamnoynoy project. After all, Ninoy's son Noynoy is now our president. Well, if you must know, PNoy, I shelved all exploits to watch over my Popsy when he got a hot spot. . .

Woof everyone!

I'm off on an important mission.

And I'm drooly back!
It took me just a second to find it!

It's normally called Fetch, Amy
except that nobody said the word 'fetch'
but I saw the ball fell from Keeper's stash.
(Keeper was busy moving stuff
which means it is cleaning time!)
It is also called Color Splash Sunday:

Or Sunday's splash out.
Or color sunday not
because the moon is full
so its moonday as well.
nya nya nya!

I really can't help it.
Whenever I see a ball
my instincts tell me
to run after it, Lisa!
Life is like a ball game.
You chase after it and make it yours.
After that, you drool like a smart dawg.

This week is all fun and action, Ashley.
I was out in the sun with my Popsy.
I was always Against The Light.
but too fast for Keeper to take a good shot. Ha!

I am also always against the black hunk
who always gobble the scene!

But that is always the
Best Part of My Day:
. . . being with my Popsy Sumo
who blogs in Pilipino
(de hooman's language in my island)
and whose 'hot spot' I keep watch.

When Keeper see us together
she stops what she is doing
to watch us adoringly for hours
and kept saying in Pilipino
"Naku, magkamukha kayong dalawa!"
(Oh, you really look alike!)

But how can that be?
My father and I are as different
as night and day!
My furs are golden and Popsy's black.
My ears are floppy down but Popsy's straight up
(Popsy's ears are up even in his sleep
and so are his watchful eyes because
Popsy sleeps with half-opened eyes!)

Nobody in his right mind
would even imagine us to be related!
Visitors even think we are a couple!
Some visitors even think my Popsy is a wolf!

But methinks Keeper is pathetically myopic.
She sees things differently than most people.
The other day she talked to the moth
and told the neighbors what the moth told her
that it will be a rainy-sunny week.
Well, this weekend we had sunny-rainy episodes
FIVE TIMES in ONE DAY!

It makes my creative work a bit difficult
because it can be confusing
like who or what am I framing?

I often wonder if the SPACE is not too much for my li'l head.
After all, it once belonged to my late bro Bogart.
And Bogart had a humongous head!

Now I can't turn my head around
which is the reason for its being.

I'm Woofy Back!

And drooly watching somebody's back!

Yupsy. I'm guarding my Popsy
because Popsy had a bad case of a 'hot spot'
so now he's in a hot spot!
Arooooo!

For hoomans who are not drooly dog-trained
a 'hot spot' is a sore that furries like me gets
from dry drool, dry pee, dusty whatever
and because somebody forgot to give us our regular bath!

And with the dusty constructions
banging on every corner of Heaven
Popsy licked his hot spot like mad from stress
which made the hot spot bigger and looked infected
and which made Keeper faint in disgust!
Keeper gets hysterical when she sees scars.

So now - -
Lookit!
TheOtherKeeper kept negotiating with Popsy
'cause when you get a hot spot
you gotta wear a not so hot hat:
There goes the dimwit whatever.
I ain't wearing that silly blue thing ever.
And Popsy won't either!

This negotiation won't go anywhere, Amy!
Nobody will wear the honorable
'elizabethan collar' aka e-collar
aka ewww-collar!

So if Popsy will not wear the eeewy collar
he has to drooly wear this:

It is called drool scarfy on yer wristly.
It hides the dreaded hot spot.
It reminds you not to lick it
not unless you want Keeper barking at you like mad
after she applied drooly ointment on yer hot spot
and waited for an hour for it to dry!

Poor Popsy felt like an idiot
walking around with a kerchief
at his Fingertips, Ashley!

Popsy Sumo is counting the days
until the cream ointment
and the steroid tablet
that the vet prescribed
will be over . . .
. . . and when Keeper stops over-reacting . . .

In case you're wondering
why are they not fussing over my hot spot?
Well, I kept mine hidden from Keeper
and I make sure it dries faster
and won't get infected.
The vet said I look grumpy but I'm OK.

Well, as long as the workers don't paint
or hammer or drill anything at the back
or on the FLOORS of Heaven, Ashley!

Popsy might have a hot spot
but he's not exactly disabled.
He runs faster and his sense of smell is sharper than mine.
Popsy can smell rain and stormy clouds a mile away!

So here's our rainy street, Ashley.
Obviously I can't take a drooly walk
for your Walking the Empty Streets prompt.
But that was THEN
and in a few seconds lookit!

Some kids are out playing in the rain!

So NOW:

It's a good thing
Keeper gave us a bath this week, Lisa!

My zits look Not Hot.
The weather is Hot.
I live in a Hut.
Duh.

My eyes are clear
but I use drooly CLEAR glasses, Ashley
because it makes me look cute
and when I wear one
girls swoon over me.

Of course when the hoomans come drooling at Heaven's gate
I wear both Hat and Clear Glasses
. . . to keep off my drooly fans.
I heard people use dark glasses
but how can I see the drooly people
if ma glasses have shades?!?

Out Of This World
. . . is Keeper's something inside a glass.
Don't ask me what it drooly is.
Don't dare ask Popsy as well . . .
. . . because he gets sprinkled with it as well!

Sprinkle
Keeper sprinkles them something
on Anything and AnyBeing
that is Sick, Dying, Stupid and Moody.
I am Moody so I get sprinkled A LOT of those something.
And when I get sprinkled with something
I run faster than anymoodybeing captured on cctv.
Duh.

I'm moody but not without a reason, Amy.
I get drooly moody and the world turns bleak
when I hear noises 24/7 . . .. . . and the house smells of paint, dust, and sweat . . .
"when are those workers leaving, Keeper?"
and I don't get my weekly baths
"when is my scheduled bath, Keeper?"
. . . so when that happens, Amy,
my drooly world blinks!

Yesterday, the weather was so hot
yet by afternoon, dark stormy clouds came
and brought thunder, lightning, winds and rains
and brought me and my Popsy running like mad!
It brought Keeper running with her magical wand
telling the angry winds to hush and stay calm
so life goes on . . .

. . . and Heaven is still in chaos.
My furs are a mess.
My face have zits.
My paws have hot spots.
And I badly need propeelaxsissy
or whatever it is the hoomans do to clean the teeth.
I need total renovation, Liza.
It's a good thing I'm good-looking.

Stormy, Rainy, Bedlam in June

I know. Popsy knows too.

So what else is new?

From Monday until Saturday
the rains fell in torrents.
I heard the hoomans say
that two angry howling winds
joined forces to create a storm!
And even if the storms did not pass our way
the rains and the winds howled like mad and
it felt like the world is going to end.

And from Monday to Saturday
several men came and stayed in Heaven
banging on the walls and floors at the back of Heaven
joining forces with the pouring rain!
It felt like my eardrums are numb.

The hoomans call it renovation
but on a rainy, stormy day?
So what else is new?

And without further a-woof
and before I totally lose my sanity
here are my challenges this week . . .

DOORS/WINDOWS
There, behind that closed door and windows, Ashley,
are strange people with strange smell
creating awful noises all day!

PAINT
I can't paint when its raining, Ashley
and please don't ask Keeper
about my silly paintings.
Nowadays, I just pant amidst the stress.

EYELASHES

they are actually copying animal moves

Today will be a busy day.
because today has so many events:
Jose Rizal's (a Pinoy hero) 150th bday,
Fathers day, Holy Trinity, and
Save Your Drool day.
Keeper will not celebrate any of it
because Keeper will be busy renovating
and moving our stuff around Heaven.

Oh-oh.
I sense ginormous stress coming.
My furs are falling like mad!

So I am doing all my challenges
all at the same time!

FROM A FLOWERS POINT OF VIEW
This is one of the orchids blooming last year, Ashley.
It has no smell, no music, no nothing.
And this is how Ms Orchid see me:

NATURAL FRAME
I am naturally framed by the flower and a fly.
It could have been woofy purrfect except that I was blurred
and Keeper wanted to shoot flowers only
which she featured in her blog.

LETTERS
I play tug-of-war with Keeper over mails. She always thought it is hers but I heard the mailman say for Sweepy and I run like mad and tear it up and - "oh what an idiot! You tear up your letter, Sweepy! How are we supposed to know who sent it and why?!"

So if you sent me a letter recently I am sorry if I can not woofy respond.

BLISS
Now this is my favorite treat.
The smell of it alone is bliss.
My Popsy likes it too except that TheOtherKeeper Luchie kept reminding him that salty chow are bad for senior dogs. And when you tell Popsy that, he goes ballistic:
Not exactly a good thing to say especially on Fat her day.
Woof, I mean Father's day.
And TOKLuchie said that includes me
because I am also a senior dog!

EMOTION
And when I heard Luchie say I can not have bacon treats anymore I became emotionally woofy. Don't tell me you're gonna serve me blah foods from now on? When are dogs considered senior anyway? I am only 9 so that means you multiply my age by 7 to get my human age . . . then mine would be woofy 63. I am 63 in hooman age. Omiwoofygosh, I am senior. Darn.

he's small,

Something Ruptured!

Woofsy hullo!

As you can see
I am so alive.
No, there was no rapture.
At least where I am drooly coming from.

I woke up this dawn
and felt dizzy.
And whaddya know
there was an earthquake!
Now that's a rupture, not rapture.

Keeper checked on us right away.
Keeper was all MsWorry all week
because there is a tropical depression
drooly named Chedeng heading our way.
And then there was the rapture buzz,
and then there was the usual
tropical depression.
You live in a tropical place
and you get depressed.
If you're lucky you only get sunburn
and furburn and nosedry and tailgone!

I can't understand it really. I mean:
How do people know when the world is coming to an end?

Answer: Numbers.
People add things up and voila!
You get the arithmetic.
Okay so: 5+21+2011 = 2037 = 12 = 3

Hey people, 3 is not anywhere END.
End is 9.
So if I drooly compute . . .
hmmm . . .
. . . lemme see . . .

. . . okay, got it!
9 is on Friday
which is also when the moon fades out
and you don't see it anywhere!
Ha!

Well . . .

Keeper?
Er, where will you woofy be on Friday?

Whaddya mean you have workshop?
Whaddya mean you're having ingress?
Woof, ingress sounds drooly like exiting somewhere.
That sounds like Keeper is exiting
and exiting means leaving
and leaving is ending
and ending is 9 on a friday!

KEEPER!
NOBODY LEAVES HEAVEN WITHOUT THE SUPERDOG!!!

INNER BEAUTY
The dark sleeping beauty is a beast.
But for Keeper, that beast is a work of art.
But the real beauty is the golden pup
guarding the sleeping beast
even if the sleeping beast is snubbing him.
Magnanimity is inner beauty.
Mark my drool, people.

ETHEREAL
That could be my place called Heaven.
Now when Keeper goes into her wash period
Keeper recycles her soapy tub
by washing all of Heaven with it
removing our precious drools and pee marks.
Oh, why can't people understand
how important it is for animals
to leave our scents and marks
on our territory?!!

SHARP
I am all Sharp.
I can sense anything 40 feet under, over and through.
Which is why I can detect Keeper's movements
anywhere around Heaven.
Which is also why
my favorite place is the Kitchen
at the back of Heaven
with all the aroma
and hopefully
Keeper with our bowls!

I can sharply sense everything.

And when somebody leaves . . .
I can sharply detect it as well.
And that can sharply pierce my aching heart.
Oh, why does he leave!

But miracles come in the form of Keeper
because lookit, Amy!

Keeper got tired of this cat and mouse game
because we're neither cat or mouse
and since we're both dogs
and we're father and son dogs
Keeper passed a decree:
"Thou shalt keep the family together at all cost
or suffer the penalty of zero treats all week"
"Settle your issues now na!" barks Keeper.
Look how miserable Popsy looks!

Now that's purrfect for Amy's

And at the end of the day
and at the end of the journey
lies the Superdog:
Superdog Drool:
There is no greater journey
than being with the one you love.
And that is pure rapture!
And it does not signal the end of the world
because it is the beginning
and the essence of your whole world.

I Am In The Dark

I am in that period

between the darkness of confusion
and the lightness of being.

Yes, I took a bath.
Yes, my curtains took a bath too.
But my foggy brain, my eyes, my nose,
my floppy ears are completely . . .

Dark
. . . and this starts my hooha this week . . .

Now look Ashley!
This is . . .

Before

And now woofy . . .

You can edit all you want
but it does not change the fact
that I am still in the dark.

And this is another Dark, Ashley:
My Popsy was all dark
until old age crept in
and before ya know it
white furs began sprouting on his black face
and ka-blam! White on Dark!

And this Dark ka-blam
is what is keeping me
in the dark.

Visual Contrast

Yes of course I know I do not look like my Popsy
simply because I look like my Mumsy.
But looks has nothing to do
when the contrast is much more
than drooly looks and color.

Friendship
Yes you can be friends with your pawrents.
But it does not follow that your pawrents
want to be friends with you.

Here's another before-after scene:
When I want to play with my Popsy
he looks the other way.
When Popsy runs after trespassers,
. . . and we have them all the time:
bugs, birds, cats, bees, dried leaves,
the bill messenger who tries to sneak stuff in the mailbox
which is 'trespassing' in my book,
kids who love to steal fruits from our trees,
old ladies who get clippings of our plants,
etc. etc. . . .
I try to run with Popsy
but Popsy does not want me
to have anything to do with his play.

So now Ashley ask me:

Give Me Flowers

And now Amy wants me to splash out color!

But Popsy enters my scene
and tries to eat the flower . . .
which will make Keeper angry
and put the blame on me!

So now I wonder . . .. . . is there a way I can play with my Popsy?
Do hoomans have pawrent prob like mine?

There are no conflicts that can not be resolved.
And this is my musing for Lisa of:

Do not imagine that there is only one way in or out of anything.

Because if you look drooly hard enough
you will find several light
at the tip of your macro armpit!

Your loved ones love you
even if they don't want to play with you all the time.

They do care for you even if at times
they simply want you out of their way . . .

. . . so when times are hard
you either live with it
or make it live with you.

Try to stay out of the dark
or the dark will consume you drooly.

And with that I end my drooly
once-a-week barkings.

Hullo.

My week looked exactly like this.
All dried up and panting from 36 degrees heat,
and barely able to be anything super.

And then the mailman came
and my Popsy Sumo got to him first!
The package came from the GreenwoodsTeam
which is the animal doctor himself, DrGeoff
and his secretary/wife/animal rescuer Happy
who is also one of my hooman gurlfriends.
(FYI: I have 7 GFs: 1 dog, 6 humans)

DrGeoff and Happy sent us tablets
for our periodic deworming
which dogs are supposed to have quarterly
but Keeper forgot to do since last year.
Because of that, whatever worms I have by now,
must be MACRO cobras inside my tum-tum
eating all the food inside my tum-tum.
No wonder I am always hungry!

So thank you Greenwoods team
for making sure that's not gonna happen!
The Greenwoods team are also great heroes
because they save and rescue animals too
which our local TV featured this Sunday:
The Greenwoods team adopted Scarlett
and raised funds to get her a wheelchair
so Scarlett can walk and exercise her limbs!
Ten paws up, Greenwoods team!
And Scarlett, you look woofy great on TV!

SOOC
No edits, no drools, no paw marks, no anything.
Perfect also for Jan's SOOC.
The only thing you see are my 'hot spots', Jan,
which came from dust, drool, pee marks
which got stuck on my furs and dried up.
So much for being super.

Isn't It Ironic?
This is called Roaching.
Roaching is crucial for animals like us.
It relives us from boredom,
helps massage our backs,
cools our tum-tums,
gives us another view of the world
(the hoomans look better when viewed upside down)
plus, when you do it,
the hoomans rush to pet you
thinking you need attention.
Duh.

Lazy
Nope.
This is not lazy or roaching.
This is called Doga or yoga for drooly dogs.
You gulp air like there's no tomorrow
and expel it out, together with bad breath
bad energies, bad thoughts, bad whatever
and you're supposed to feel good.
Me, I feel sleepy during Doga
which is a good thing.
You freeze your move and nap.
Perfect supermultitask.
And in case you wanted to see a combination

Smells like Spring
It also smells of winter and summer
fall, stay, run, all rolled into one.
I am actually guarding Keeper's spider lair.

Not only spiders sprout from that junk.

millions of webs, dust, and somebody's drool.

De Superdog Week

Hear ye, Hear ye.

I went to the wedding . . . not.
They won't even let me on the plane!
And to think I made this card early
to give away to my adoring fans
but they thought I was the Underdog!
Hey I ain't going anywhere under.

What's with these people anyway!

And so I start my week
doing challenges on a hot 36 degrees weather.

Let me assure you
NOBODY gets the beast alive.
Popsy is one smart beast and father.
